Tsosa-Tshepo was founded on 04 March 2024 by Radebe Tsatsane Mafusi Mirriam with a profound understanding of the challenges faced by our local community. Recognizing the urgent need for accessible support, particularly for orphans and vulnerable children, as well as individuals seeking legal and social guidance, we established our Drop-in Centre, Community Advice Office, and Resource Centre. Since then, we’ve grown alongside our community, adapting our services to meet evolving needs and proudly serving as a cornerstone of support in Marquard and Senekal.

Tsosa-Tshepo, Drop-in Centre: A safe Haven for Hope and Growth. Our Drop-in Centre is a vital lifeline for vulnerable children and youth in Marquard and Senekal, offering a secure, nurturing, and positive environment away from the challenges they may face at home. We provide a space where they can feel safe, cared for, and supported in their development.
Who we serve: Primarily orphans and vulnerable children (OVC) and youth affected by poverty, social challenges, and lack of access to necessities.
Nutritional Support: Providing daily nutritious meals and snacks to ensure children receive the vital nourishment they need for healthy growth and concentration.
Hygiene & Sanitation: Access to clean water, functional ablution facilities, and essential toiletries to promote good personal hygiene.
Clothing Assistance: Distributing donated clothing, including school uniforms, to ensure children are appropriately dressed for school and daily life.
Psycho-social Support: Offering individual and group counselling sessions to help children process trauma, manage emotions, and develop coping mechanisms.
Life Skills Training: Interactive workshops covering topics such as personal hygiene, conflict resolution, HIV/AIDS awareness and prevention, self-protection, and basic financial literacy.
Recreational Activities: Organized sports, games, creative arts, and engaging holiday programs to promote physical activity, social interaction, and emotional well-being.
Educational Support: Providing homework assistance and tutoring to improve academic performance, along with support for school enrolment processes.
Referral Service: Connecting individuals and families to other critical support networks, including healthcare services, professional social workers, and other community-based organizations.
Impact: The Tsosa-Tshepo Drop-In Centre provides a stable foundation, fostering resilience and offering a pathway to a brighter future for more than a hundred children annually.
Tsosa-Tshepo Community Advice Office (CAO): Empowering Communities Through Guidance:Â Is a crucial pillar in our mission, offering accessible and free legal and socio-economic advice to marginalized individuals and families in Marquard and Senekal. We aim to empower community members by increasing their knowledge of their rights and connecting them to appropriate resources.
Who we serve: Individuals and families facing legal challenges, seeking social grant assistance, or needing guidance on various socio-economic issues.
Basic Legal Advice: Providing clear, understandable information on various legal matters, including family law (maintenance, domestic violence), labour law (unfair dismissal), housing issues, consumer rights, and more.
Social Grant Assistance: Comprehensive support with SASSA applications (Child Support Grant, Old Age Pension, Disability Grant), including guidance on required documentation and the application process.
Referral for Complex Cases: For complex legal matters, we refer clients to Legal Aid South Africa or pro bono legal practitioners for more in-depth assistance.
Human Rights Education: Conducting workshops and providing information to educate community members on their fundamental human rights and how to protect them.
Socio-Economic Guidance: Offering advice on employment opportunities, basic consumer protection, debt management strategies, and access to other social services.
Victim Support: Providing confidential support and guidance for victims of gender-based violence, abuse, or other crimes, including referrals to specialized services.

The Centre is a vibrant learning hub dedicated to fostering knowledge, improving literacy, and developing essential skills within the Marquard and Senekal community. It’s a space where individuals can access information, engage in lifelong learning, and enhance their self-reliance.
Who we serve: Children, youth, adults, and community groups seeking educational materials, computer access, and skills development opportunities.
Community Library & Reading Corner: A collection of books, educational materials, current newspapers, and magazines for all ages, promoting literacy and a love for reading.
Computer Lab with Internet Access: Providing crucial access to computers and the internet for research, online learning, job applications, and general information gathering.
Information Hub: A wealth of brochures, pamphlets, and notice boards with information on health, education, legal rights, government services, vocational training opportunities, and local community events.
Multi-purpose Workshop Space: A versatile area used for training sessions, community meetings, and group activities.
